Columbus-Patience Whitworth, an Ohio State University sophomore from California, has been awarded the 20022003 Eric Kohring-P-FLAG Scholarship.
The scholarship is funded by the Eric Kohring estate, Ohio State's GLBT Alumni and the Columbus chapter of Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. It is given to an Ohio State student who has
excelled in scholarship, leadership and service, with an emphasis on the LGBT community.
Whitworth, who is majoring in international business and finance, has served as the co-chair of OSU's Fusion LGBT student group and has been a volunteer with the Columbus AIDS Taskforce and OSU's GLBT Student Services Speaker's Bureau.
